The batteries that ship with Ring Theory are sourced from a reputable US-based wholesaler, and they provide plenty of current to supply power-hungry LEDs. On a full charge, the batteries will power a 16″ hoop approximately five hours in “auto” mode at full brightness. From personal experience, one battery is usually enough to get me through an evening, but I keep the second one on hand just in case!
The included holder plugs directly into the LED controller to power the device.
The batteries are protected, meaning they will cut off power supply before becoming dangerously depleted. It is critical that only protected 18650 cells of the appropriate amperage rating are used in conjunction with Ring Theory! Ring Theory Arts will not be responsible for damages resulting from misused or incorrectly selected 18650 batteries! Our batteries are from a reputable supplier and will always be safe when used with a 16″ or smaller Ring Theory hoop.
